Applying for a place at St Paul's
St Paul's School is a Voluntary Aided Church of England primary school that welcomes children from practising Christian families as well as from the local community. We are a one-form entry primary school with a nursery class which is included in an Early Years Foundation Stage facility.
All applications for a place in the main school at St Paul's Primary School will be co-ordinated by Hammersmith & Fulham Education Department.
The governing body is committed to the equal opportunities of all applicants, including the disabled and will ensure reasonable adjustments are made under the disability discrimination Act 1995 to accommodate the needs of children with any disability. Applicants with children who have a statement of Special Educational Need who name the school under the terms of the Education Act 1996 will be admitted under a different admissions procedure.
Reception Class Places
There are 30 places in our Reception class. If you would like your child to be considered for a place you MUST name the school on the Common Application Form (CAF), which is available from Hammersmith & Fulham LA.
If you are applying under criterion 2 (Medical or Social need) or criterion 4 (Church Attendance) you will need to fill in a supplementary information form and return this to the school so that the governors can consider your application.
If applying under criterion 2, the form will need to be accompanied by evidence from the appropriate professional to show why St Paul's is the only school that your child can attend. If applying under criterion 4, the form will need to be countersigned and stamped by your clergy, in order to allow the Governors to assess how well you meet out criteria.
Places will be allocated as per our School's published admission criteria.

Nursery Class Places
The Nursery accepts a maximum of 25 children in both the morning and afternoon sessions. Most of the places are part time, either morning (9am-12) or afternoon (12.30 pm - 3:30pm) with some full time places (maximum 10 places). Children of three and four years are allocated a part time place in June and admitted during the Autumn Term. A full time place may be offered, if desired and if available, in the last one or two terms before the child transfers to Reception. These places are offered to children in order of age as places become available.
A Nursery application form can be obtained from the school. If you are applying under criteria 2 (Medical or Social need) to help the Governors in their consideration please attach letter(s) from your social worker, GP or other qualified person.
If applying under criteria 4, your application form will need to be countersigned and stamped by your clergy, in order to allow the Governors to assess how well you meet out criteria. This must be returned to the school by June 2012.

In Year Admissions
Applications for In-Year admissions are made in the same way as those made during the normal admissions round. If a place is available and there is no waiting list then the local authority will communicate the governors' offer of a place to the family. If more applications are received than there are places available then applications will be ranked by the governing body in accordance with the admission criteria.
If a place cannot be offered at this time then you may ask us for the reasons and you will be informed of your right of appeal. You will be offered the opportunity of being placed on a waiting list. This waiting list will be maintained by the governing body in the order of the admission criteria and not in the order in which the applications are received.
When a place becomes available the governing body will decide who is at the top of the list so that the LA can inform the parent that the school is making an offer.
