Collective Worship

Our Christian character is central to all we do and Christian values of love, forgiveness, hope and hospitality are taught. We believe this enables us to live, love and learn together harmoniously and discover how to treat others with care, humility and respect.

Times for prayer and reflection are important and are planned at the beginning, middle and end of the day. Each day, as a 'school family’, the whole school gathers for collective worship to enjoy singing, prayers and reflection. A weekly assembly theme is linked to an important message and links with scripture, aiming to support children in thinking about how they should live their lives.

These themes are also explored and shared at a church based assembly once a week. On Wednesday afternoons, we are invited to our sister church, St Paul's Hammersmith. We have a friendly and enthusiastic team, led by Clemmie and Ruth, who visit the school once a week to work with one class and develop an assembly around a theme from a bible story. The worship session includes opportunities for music, drama and dance and parents, carers, families and friends are always invited to join us at the church on Wednesdays at 2:45pm and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee afterwards.

St Paul’s always welcomes new visitors to take part in event or worship. Click here for a link to find out more about SPH.

In addition to this collective worship, assemblies are also held to reward effort and celebrate achievements. Families are always very welcome to join us for these events.
