Pupil Leadership Roles & Responsibilities

It is very important that children play an active role in the day-to-day running of our school, developing leadership skills and sense of responsibility.

 

Sharing Roles and Responsibilities is one aspect of this. The following roles and responsibilities are held:

 

Head Students

These children support the ethos of the school, work with the Headteacher and Seniro Leadership Team to represent the school at important events and recognise the positive contributions of other children in the school.  

 

Deputy Head Students

These children support the ethos of the school, deputise for the Head Students and recognise the positive contributions of other children in the school.  

 

House Captains

There are two house captains per house who are tasked with motivating children to keep rule and collect house points, organise events, inclusing the annual sporting events. 

 

The Children's Light Team - LiT

This group of KS2 children work with the Headteacher to ensure that the school community lilves its values. They work on School Improvement issues alongside the headteacher, gathering children's views and helping to strengthen the work of the school and helping children to attend well and develop good behaviour for learning. 

 

The Book Worm Team

This group are tasked with supporting the Reading Leader in developing a love of reading in the school. They support the purchasing of new books and reading materials. They als maintain the Book Nook and work on reading events. 

 

The Oracy Team

The children in the oracy team are responsible for supporting teachers in recognising good oracy and making sure children speak with confidence, volume and intonation. They support the Oracy Leader in helping people to filter their use of filler words, to use stem sentences and to build on each others' ideas systemtically.
